Cases Fairness

Our Cases game ensures fairness through a provably fair system. Here's how it works:

• Server Seed:

  The server seed is a SHA-512 hash generated from a random 32 bytes. It is encrypted for your protection and revealed only after the client seed is changed, allowing you to verify past game results.

• Client Seed:

  The client seed is generated based on your user details by default. As the client seed affects every game result, you can change it to any seed of your choice at any time, ensuring that it is impossible for us to manipulate the results.

• Nonce:

  The nonce is a unique number that starts at 0 and increments by 1 for each game. This ensures that even with the same server and client seeds, the results will differ each time.

These values are combined to form a unique seed in the format: ClientSeed-ServerSeed-Nonce-Round.

• HMAC-SHA512 Hashing:

  Using the HMAC-SHA512 algorithm, we generate a hash from the combined seed for each round.

• Result Calculation:

  For each round, we take the first 13 characters of the hash and convert them into a decimal number. This number is then divided by 2^52 to produce a value between 0 and 1.

• Domain Mapping:

  The resulting value is multiplied by the domain range (1 to 100000) and adjusted to produce a final result between 1 and 100000.

This process guarantees that the outcome of our Cases game is both random and fair. Users can verify the fairness by inputting their own seeds and nonce to reproduce the result, ensuring transparency and trust in our game.

To verify the fairness of previous rounds, modify your client seed to reveal the previous server seed. You can then use our 'Validate' feature to access an external JavaScript playground where you can input the values and confirm the integrity of the results.
